Luck Be Me
I was hoping to set a record by being cold-called in all my substantive classes (which excludes Legal Writing) my first week. Turns out I had to wait for my second. Contracts carved out the last leg on the Triangle of Fear.
Constitutional Law: Ok, I asked for it. Siegel is nice enough to provide an on-call sign-up sheet, so I decided to brave last Wednesday.
Civil Procedure: The first few days, Carrington either drew or inserted an image of a state into his presentation. If that was your home state, you had to be alert. I was not given the warning of California's long, lovely coastline. I was denied due process, but I did feel I got served.
Contracts: If I ever think I understand anything, each class proves me wrong. I suppose I understand enough now to know that I understand nil. As I basked in my newfound knowledge of incomprehension, Weistart looked me in the eye and I knew I was toast. Finger-crossing, I denounce thee as my god!
I expect to be cold-called again later in the semester, since some of our classes are small. I'll be an expert by then, right? I promise I'll blow all my classmates away (I think that's an unenforceable promise--let me check the hornbook).
