Conversations and T-shirts
For some reason, almost all conversations I overhear sound lame. And all morning radio talk shows are like overheard conversations, seemingly amusing to the people in the studio only. The morning commuters, like people stuck behind you in line or in a crowd, are the captive audience.
At least I get to listen to music at work (sometimes), if not during my morning commute. Right now I'm flying high with Ryan-recommended Elkland.
My fingers are once again itching to buy things. Threadless has two new t-shirts that I'm eyeing.
(...I wonder how many people have wanted to club me in the head when I talk to my friends in public.)

Man, I should carry a club around. Not for your head, but for those other people and their insipid talk. Funny, just the other day I was confessing to someone how pointlessly irritated I get when I overhear utter bores. Actually, it's mainly the pompous bores that bother me; the pitiable ordinary bores are just like the rest of us and forgivable.

I actually like over hearing people's conversatiosn somtimes. It makes me ponder what has happened to this person in the past to develop such irrational beliefs or coversational topics. It makes me realize how each person you see has a totally different life and different perspective than that of your own and no matter how much you think you understand about life, it only amounts to a teardrop in the ocean. And then I like to think about how the really annoying and stupid people might come to thier unfortunate end, maybe an axe through the skull, or a misplaced toaster in the bathtub, ah and this leaves me with a smile. :)
